Rocky Branch Bridge Has Been Installed at Broad Run Linear Park
The former bridge over Rocky Branch (X marks the spot, above) washed out years ago, leaving just a low water crossing upstream. New bridge will re-connect Kingsbrook and Dunbarton communities on opposite sides of Broad Run. Powells Creek Design Update
A stakeholder presentation on the Powells Creek Crossing was held on March 4. Construction has been scheduled so Phase 1 can be completed with the $9 million provided by the 2019 bond issue. This project consists of the installation of a new prefabricated steel pedestrian bridge and associated site improvements over Hooes Run, along with site cleanup and fencing improvements along the Occoquan Greenway Trail.
