Prince William Department of Parks and Recreation is making quick progress in replacing a trail bridge on Broad Run Trail next to Linton Hall Road. (Photo taken April 4, 2026.)
Replacing the bridge over Rocky Run that washed out years ago (next to Kingsbrooke further upstream) is taking far longer. Winter weather, especially a month of snow, delayed installation of a bridge structure previously delivered. Special pads are in place for transporting the bridge from the road to the stream.
Fortunately, there is a low-water crossing 1/4 mile from the planned bridge site.
