A stakeholder presentation on the Powells Creek Crossing was held on March 4. Construction has been scheduled so Phase 1 can be completed with the $9 million provided by the 2019 bond issue.
The crossing will include a mix of floating platforms, boardwalks, and bridges. Some overlooks will be 20′ above the water:
“Located at the south end of the primary crossing, the Treeline Overlook lifts visitors into the tree canopy, creating an immersive experience surrounded by foliage and offering opportunities to observe birds and wildlife from above.“
