The Prince William Board of County Supervisors has intiated a Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA) to revise the Mobility Chapter in the 2040 Comprehensive Plan. A virtual town hall will be held on February 19, 6:30pm to discuss the changes; join using WebEx.
Proposed changes include deleting the Manassas Battlefield Bypass and the extension of Heathcote Boulevard to Antioch Road. Paved Shared Use Paths parallel to those roads would also be deleted.
The planned widening of Sudley Road (Route 234) between Pageland Lane and Route 15 from two to four lanes may be cancelled. If so, the Shared Use Path on that stretch of Sudley Road which is planned to be added along with the two lanes could be cancelled as well – or retained as a project separate from the road widening.
Public input on February 19 might affect the not-yet-released draft of the Trails Master Plan.
