Those with access to a horse will find places to ride in Prince William County. There are private trails in some communities, various providers of horse training and boarding, plus the Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center next to Silver Lake Regional Park.
Public sites to ride include:
– Silver Lake Regional Park and Catharpin Creek Greenway east to Route 15
– James S. Long Regional Park
– Conway Robinson State Forest
– Manassas National Battlefield Park, including Ben Lomond Trail to Splashfown WaterPark
(in the past, a connector trail existed between Conway Robinson State Forest and Manassas Battlefield National Park)
– Nokesville Park
– Valley View Park
– Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park
– Doves Landing Park
In addition:
– the Prince William Forest Park 2019 trail plan would provide approximately 5.3 miles of trails for equestrian use
